Did the 2021 RAV4 receive KBB awards?

The Toyota RAV4 has been a favorite of drivers for years, with its compact crossover SUV styling that offers a healthy mixture of old-school SUV capability and current sedan-like fuel efficiency. It’s sleek and versatile, and it hasn’t gotten its stellar reputation by accident. It receives accolades from its drivers, but it also receives recognition from trusted sources in the automotive industry, like Kelley Blue Book (KBB). Did the 2021 RAV4 receive KBB awards? You wouldn’t be reading this if it hadn’t! Continue onward for more information on how the new RAV4 has been recognized.

Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Awards

The 2021 RAV4 and RAV4 Prime each received a Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award! The RAV4 won in the compact SUV category, while the RAV4 Prime took the honors in the plug-in vehicle category.

These awards are meant to advise buyers on which vehicles might be among the best out there for them to purchase. In order to make the determination of which vehicles win the awards, experts evaluate and test almost every new vehicle available in the United States. Such evaluation includes the pricing, a five-year cost-to-own analysis, reviews and ratings from consumers, and sales and retail information. KBB narrows the vehicles down to about a few dozen or so and then conducts tests of those vehicles to find the winners of these awards.

2021 Toyota RAV4 and RAV4 Prime

The Toyota RAV4 received a major redesign for the 2019 model year and continues into 2021 with a refresh of that. The RAV4 Prime also bears this new look. Base models of the RAV4 can get an EPA-estimated 27 city and 35 highway miles per gallon while offering comfortable seating for five and as much as 69.8 cubic feet of maximum cargo capacity. The 2021 RAV4 Prime also has that capacity, and it also happens to be the quickest RAV4 to date with its 302 net horsepower engine while being able to achieve an EPA-estimated 94 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent).
