2021 Toyota Venza hybrid features and specs

Have you ever found yourself driving along and seeing an old model name that you just don’t see much these days? Perhaps that was the case with the Toyota Venza, which has been absent from the automaker’s roster for five model years now. That absence is coming to an end! The Venza is being brought back as a hybrid crossover SUV, out later in summer 2020. Let’s take a look at some of the 2021 Toyota Venza hybrid features and specs that we know about so far.

Hybrid powertrain and efficiency

The new 2021 Toyota Venza is built using the Toyota Hybrid System II and advanced Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive. It is expected to be able to reach an estimated 40 miles per gallon on combined roads. The hybrid system powering the Venza will consist of a high-efficiency 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine and three electric motors. It will also include a variable cooling system made of an electric water pump and an electric thermostat to help with the efficiency with each drive. Toyota estimates that will still deliver an impressive 219 horsepower while retaining its efficiency, especially in the LE trim.

The Venza will offer up different driving modes, which include Normal, Eco, and Sport to provide you with a different driving experience depending on the conditions and your own preferences. You’ll also be able to go with EV mode, which provides for electric-only driving at lower speeds for short distances, which is another way you can save money on fuel with this efficient hybrid.

New Toyota Venza design

The design is sharp and aggressive, making it fit in with its Toyota crossover siblings but also stand out from the crowd. It’s both modern and ahead of the curve, with an interior stylized with high class that offers premium style no matter the trim. It allows for an impressive 36.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind its second row, making it an ideal candidate for families on the go. Available heated front seats and an available Star Gaze ™ fixed panoramic roof (which is a first for Toyota) will add to the experience, almost hitting luxury territory.
