First, make sure that Bluetooth is active on your device. You can check this in your phone’s settings. With an Android device, you may also need to make sure it is visible to other searching devices. On the audio multimedia screen in the center stack, press the menu button, then tap Setup. Select the Bluetooth tab. Tap the option that says Add New Device and then select Yes.

The system will then search for active Bluetooth devices nearby. Your phone should appear on the screen. Select from the list shown on the display screenCheck that the PIN shown on your phone matches the PIN displayed on the multimedia display. If it is a match, tap Pair on the phone. Ensure that the text message feature works by giving the vehicle access to your messages and contacts. On an iPhone, set the notifications from the Bluetooth settings on the phone to receive notifications. On an Android device, you may get two pop-up notificationsone asking for access to your contacts and another asking for access to your messages. Give the vehicle access to both.

And that’s it! You will then be able to stay in touch with your contacts hands-free while driving on your daily commutes or long road trips.
